Free Mother’s Day Student Gift and Writing Templates
If you’ve been here awhile, you may be familiar with our free sugar scrub three-ingredient gift idea with adorable gift tags. This shower sugar scrub recipe is something I have done in the classroom for… counts way too many years… over a decade! Somehow the school years are long, but the decades are short.
If you are curious about the three ingredients, they are all at the grocery store!
- sugar
- baby oil
- lemon juice, lemon essential oil, or lavender essential oil
I also grab either tiny plastic containers or jars for the scrub. All the details are in the linked post along with the free download and labels link.
A Special Woman, Mother’s Day Writing
Through the years I have always included a writing piece in our gifts for mom or that special lady in my students’ lives. Last year, I updated the templates and created more, but never got around to posting about it. I always include a variety of writing lines for grades K-2 so you can rest assured, the template you need is there.
I don’t know what it is about a print and fold flip book, but it makes it feel more like a keepsake for moms to students and that helps give them that motivation to do their very best.
Each page in the flip book is a topic about mom, so we do this after we brainstorm on a class anchor chart that has cute blooms. The anchor chart provides plenty of collaboration time so students set off to write with a bank of ideas.
May Writing Updates and Templates
Not only did the Mother’s Day writing get a fresh makeover, but all the May writing templates and lessons were updated! So it’s like a free bonus because it all comes in one download.
I have also lowered the price of these fresh beauties because the price of life right now is ridiculous. Something has to give and I decided it was May Writing that has to give.
More May Learning Ideas
Don’t be fooled by the summer title below. While the theme of the series is summer learning, it is all very important end-of-year standards and learning disguised as summer fun!
This post is a one-stop idea bank for all of the last part of the school year’s themes and learning. My go-to is to keep engagement high so students forget they are restless and tired. The same is true for me! The ideas you’ll find in this post will make you excited to wake up and teach the remaining weeks.
