Oh For The Love of Math!

I have been working on a new packet for February!  It has 10 math centers with 8 corresponding journal activities.  I plan to use the centers for both small group and math tubs.  The more difficult concepts will be done in small group first.  The other centers will continue to help me spiral the standards for my students in engaging ways!

 There are games to play with friends

 Number Forms to 120

 Fraction practice in all three forms!

 This fun game has students testing out number bonds with manipulatives to determine if they are true or false. 

 We can never take our count bys too lightly.  They are a “key” to success in the upper grades! (gag I know) But Seriously…

Students can work on a concept in a small group or in a math tub (on left) and the journal activity will serve as a recording sheet or as independent practice in your math block(on right).

 Run these journal activities on bright colored paper for added interest!

 Sometimes my students need a little more motivation to practice the more difficult math facts.  This game is perfect for motivating them to figure out the answers!

 We have been talking about fair shares and partitioning shapes.  I can’t wait to introduce this fun activity!

 This one is going into small group STAT…we need the practice BIG TIME!
