MATH MAPS FLUENCY BUILDERS
Flexibility with numbers comes with time and practice. Math Maps allow students to zero in on a target and find all of the number combinations for that target. Students are given a target sum, skip counting rule, or other scenario and must map the path through the chart.
How To Use a Math Map
Students follow the target math sum or skip counting rule or other scenario to navigate a maze through a chart of problems. There is only one path from beginning to end following the math rule. Students mark or color the path as they solve problems.

MORE MATH FACT FLUENCY IDEAS
This post will share more about keeping up with math fact fluency. Math fact fluency is the quick and effortless recall of basic math facts. When students achieve automaticity with these facts, they have attained a level of mastery that enables them to retrieve them from long-term memory without conscious effort. There are a lot of opinions from teachers on fact fluency, and rightly so! With differing levels of learners, it is always hard to expect one criterion across the board. For this reason, I wanted to create a system that allows every student to work through a level that is just right for them.
