End of Year Summer Review and Award Fun

I decided to completely copy slightly borrow some cuteness from my teacher friends and put my candy awards and Summer Skill Review Books in beach pails for my students!  I was at the dollar store so I ended up grabbing a few other goodies to put in the buckets too!  I CAN’T WAIT!

I ended up getting pencils with little felt flags, bubbles, notepads, and erasers.

Make It Even Easier This Year

These free candy awards are always a hit, but if you are short on time or want a more polished option, the editable version makes everything quick and stress-free.

Instead of handwriting each award, you can type, print, and go.

You can get these free candy awards at my little TpT shop  CANDY AWARDS

http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Free-Candy-Awards-1180313Print in black and white or color like you see here in these buckets.  I always give each student the candy that goes with the award they have earned.

I am coming up to my last week soon.  We have 14 days left.  I gave my Last Week of School fun activities packets a major facelift and added more to it!  Be sure to get the updated version if you already have it!

How many days do you have left? My students are still relatively clueless exactly how close the end is.  I try to keep it vague, but tomorrow is field day.  As we left the building today they were all chanting full blast, “FIELD DAY!”  “FIELD DAY!”  “FIELD DAY!”

  1. Reagan, I absolutely love what you did with that borrowed bucket idea! I just wish I could do the same, but my school doesn't allow us to give food to the students now. 🙁 Those candy awards are too cute, though, and if my school's policy changes I'll definitely jump on those! Still, I love giving end-of-year treats and presents to my kinders, as I grow so attached to them throughout the school year. It's a really emotional time of year! I love your blog, and I'm so glad that I discovered it today.

  2. I'm doing the buckets, too for this year! And yes!! Those dollars from the Dollar Store can certainly add up! I bought some mini beach balls from Oriental Trading to include in mine. They're small enough to go ahead and blow up and place in the pails. They look adorable! Thanks so much for the Candy Awards. Can't wait to see which ones I can use. I'm also going to check your last day post. Thanks!! Linda G.

  3. Hello Reagan, I thought you might be interested to hear that in my country, France, last day of school is…July 4th. I don't have the spirit to count how many days that makes but June seems endless. Yet, Summer is long enough, we have 2 full months and go back to school on Sept 2nd. I love reading American teachers' blogs, they inspire me. Teaching over there (in the US) looks so much more FUN than it is in France. As for the buckets and candy awards…much too fun to be allowed around here.

  4. Love Love Love those buckets o' fun!! I seriously need to find a Dollar Tree around here. I wonder if it's better than the 99 cent store? I have 28 kiddos, so that can add up quick, but I do adore those candy awards. Just added that to my wish list. Thanks creation' such cute stuff and sharing those ideas!

  5. Ohh I love the red carpet! I'll have to borrow that idea! We are doing a Hollywood theme and it will be perfect! I have popcorn buckets for each of my kids. I'm putting in a pencil, chapter book (scored this with points from Scholastic), their memory books bound like an actually book, and a picture frame. Now you've given me even more ideas! Thanks!

  6. Candy awards printed and signed- check….Candy bars bought to match the awards- check….days until the awards ceremony?? 3!!!! Can't wait!!! Thanks for sharing, Reagan! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all your ideas!!

  7. Just finished printing your candy awards. Now to get the candy and buckets, treats. I also make a DVD slideshow and I think I'll put that in there this year too!

    Love your new blog design!!!!
